I was told by my ob it takes anywhere from 3-5 years for our bodies to fully heal from birth. However, she recommends to wait at least a year to 18 months. Of course at the end of the day, it's up to you and how far apart you want your kids in age.

I was told one year before you start trying, I had a C-Section

One year. My OB said it’s an increased risk for issues if you try to conceive any time before that, as you aren’t fully healed

A year! Let your body heal and enjoy your first baby!!

This is a question for your doctor and it depends highly on your health history, your delivery, your post partum recovery and mental health. I would highly doubt any doctor would advise someone to start TTC 6 weeks Pp. I think it happens sometimes, but I don’t think it’s encouraged by any means.

I had increases issues with my second and we weren't trying. I don't recommend trying anywhere less than a year honestly. Give yourself the time to heal. This Tim's around was way more traumatizing then myy first. But like everyone else is saying it's also up to you. I just don't recommend it

I decided I didn't want to be on any form of birth control, so I asked my OB at the 6w pp check-in would there be any complications if we accidentally conceived sooner than we wanted to. She said no, feel free to start trying whenever we are ready. I was kind of surprised, given that the internet says to wait 18m. I had a healthy pregnancy and an uncomplicated c-section.
