Airedale hospital

Hey girlies, I’ve just moved to the area last Tuesday and have registered via email to Airedale hospital and still not heard back yet from them (I’m 29+1 weeks pregnant) and I’m just curious what everyone’s experience is with Airedale Hospital? (Maternity and labour wise) . Also wondering has it took long for everyone to hear back from them or whether or not I should go into the hospital to check up on the registry? Little nervous and stressed as this is my first pregnancy and feel like time is running out before my little man is going to be born and just want everything to be sorted asap . Any advice and help is really appreciated xx

I have my care at Airedale hospital, are you registered at a doctors surgery in your area? Also ur midwife can also help with the this

Try contacting the community midwife team see if they can help there's a number on the website

@Ellie yes I’ve just got registered with my new doctor surgery, should I contact the midwife at there surgery as-well as the Airedale hospital team?

@A thankyou for your help, I will give them a call and go from there

Definitely give them a call you might have just got lost in the system with you registering a bit later on in pregnancy. In terms of care, I had to visit MAC twice and had my little girl via induction last September, had to also stay in 3 days and I had a really positive experience there. Would definitely be choosing there again if I had another xx

After giving birth at a stepping hill a few years back the care at Airedale is much nicer experience! It’s a small hospital and usually in and out with scans, check ups, consultations I’ve not given birth yet so can’t share that experience as I’m due next month but they did say they aren’t usually hectic, I feel sometimes they seem to be a little short staffed though not effected my care though x

I had my midwife support through the local GP not Airedale so definitely speak to them first. I did give birth at Airedale and had a wonderful experience. I had a water birth there. Happy to chat if you want to message.

Also had my little boy at Airedale Feb 2023 and I cant fault them at all. Had to go back and stay a few more days a week later and again they were amazing

Thankyou all so much, I really appreciate you all getting back to me and letting me know how your experiences have been . I feel a lot more relaxed now in terms of giving birth and meeting the team when it’s time to give birth and receive the last of my pregnancy care. I will definitely give my GP midwife and the Airedale team a call first thing tomorrow just to get things rolling. I’m so thankful you all have had positive experiences with Airedale, any anxiety I had has completely left!!!

I had my c section there and I had a good experience, I also visited MAC twice and had really good care there too!

Honestly, things may have changed but I know women who have had bad care at Airedale which is why I’ve registered with Leeds Hospital. They have been really great so far ✌🏽

I've just given birth there. I was consultant led and everyone from first scan to giving birth was lovely. Had a bad experience on the ward after birth but the lead nurse sorted it and apologised straight away.
