Hi Maisie congratulations on your pregnancy. I would have a look at the tommys.org for guidance as that has good advice on recurrent miscarriage d pregnancy after loss and there might be some specifics you want to ask your GP about. Wishing you all the best 💕
Thank you Rowan for the advice I will do an e-consult so it can go straight for the GP without talking to the receptionist, and congratulation on your pregnancy xx
Hi Eibhlin thank you xx will check it out ❤️
Were you referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic? I was told to ring them as soon as I was pregnant and they prescribed progesterone pessaries and aspirin to take until 12 weeks then given scans every two weeks from 6 weeks. Could you ring your local recurrent miscarriage clinic?
I was referred to them on my last miscarriage which was 2 years ago to do some tests etc but everything came back normal and I had no explanation what’s the reason for the miscarriages or for trying for so many years without getting pregnant When I phoned my GP on my 5th week they said nothing to do but speaking to midwife and register your pregnancy unfortunately it was zero support that I didn’t expect I have submitted at e-consult today and will see how it goes, I made it clear I need referral to early pregnancy unit. Thank you Sophie xx
@Maisie yes if you can get on the phone with the recurrent miscarriage clinic so they can get you on progesterone asap. And maybe even mention when you see your GP or even ask for it? I was given progesterone and aspirin and my due date is tomorrow 💖 I wish you all the best!
@Sophie thank you Sophie. Sending you wishes of health, joy and a healthy baby xx all the best
I had 5 miscarriages and unfortunately had to go private to get any real help. No cause was found and I was given a tonne of meds privately and I’m now 33 weeks pregnant xx
Hi Maisie, phone your recurrent miscarriages clinic (is it at saint james?) the GP won’t know what to do. Once a patient at the clinic, always a patient there, they told me to phone once i got pregnant again. They will monitor you every 2 weeks and give you baby aspirin and progesterone. I had unbelievable support through the clinic after 2 miscarriages and a medical termination, all tests came back clean as well but they still monitored. We just matched at peanut. Message me about it ❤️
I think it's so different depending on where you live, I'm 9 weeks now following a miscarriage and have had scans with the hospital every 2 weeks since I found out for reassurance more than anything. If you contacted your GP to tell them that your previous losses are causing you to feel anxious they would hopefully give you a referral to the EPU for a reassurance scan ❤️
