@Laura aw good luck lovely! Xx
I had the pessary in for 24 hours and then had the gel twice. I had my waters broken when I was 3cm got put on the hormone drip for 16 hours and ended up with an emergency C section, I didn’t dilate past 3cm. I was in hospital for 5 days before they gave me an emergency c section, hoping yours goes well 😊
I had it on Saturday 12:30am last week, was having period pains and tightenings by 3am. However they struggled to find it after 24hrs to take it out and then I ended up having it in for 2hrs longer than it should be, had contractions every 2minutes lasting for a minute however this meant nothing in terms of labour. I ended up with an emergency c-section instead. Good luck x
I had the pessary and 6 hours later contractions started. I had contractions for around 11 hours and was ready to push. Less than 10 pushes later she was here, no complications or pain meds but I would recommend a tens machine for when contractions start. It personally helped me get more sleep and took away the intensity. Good luck! x
Started with closed but soft cervix, 1pm Sunday fitted, tightening from 6pm every so often. 7am the next morning every 7 minutes apart for about a minute long, moved to every 5 shortly after 11am, until my waters then partially broken on their own at 12pm before I was due to have it removed an hour later. Moved straight to delivery suite after.
I had the pessary put in on Monday morning. I’m still in hospital waiting to have my waters broken. Definitely pack more than you think you need!
@Megan what!! They’ve left you waiting all this time?? You poor thing😞 xx
Had pessary in on the Saturday 11am and started having contractions at 10pm in the evening. Baby came at 2:30am on the Sunday morning. I was getting quite frustrated nothing was happening, as I could hear the other ladies on the ward having contractions. Then it all happened so quickly from there - dilated 1cm-10cms in about an hour and they rushed me over to delivery suite from the ward as I felt the urge to push and baby was coming! I do have a family history of quick births or could have been the reaction to pessary. Hope all goes well xx
Following as having mine Monday 🙏🏼🤞🏼
