Placenta previa

What week did you have a csection with placenta previa I know it’s different for each person but I read that it should be done between 34-37 weeks meaning not 38 weeks or after just wondering if this is always the case?

Oh I had this and was worried but it ended up moving your be fine don’t worry you won’t need a section it will move out the way how many week are you

Im 21 weeks , I’m having a csection anyway so I’m not worried about that I just was wondering if they ever do the csection after 37 weeks so I’d have a better idea of when it will be x

Ye mine was offered at 38 weeks and 2 days

My midwife told me they try and do it at 39 weeks if there's no complications.. I had complications at 33 weeks plus it hadn't moved at all so they ended up doing the c section at 37 weeks exactly x

@Lauren thank you , and they did cut you down the middle or did they cut you where they normally would for a csection x

With Placenta Previa that hasn’t moved they won’t let you go past 37 weeks

They told me I wouldn’t go past 37 weeks as it hadn’t moved at all. Ended up having an emergency section at 32 and 1 day after two big bleeds. LO is now 2 and a healthy happy boy! My tip would be pack a hospital bag as early as you can.

I got cut as normal, ended up being in the perfect spot because it's completely hidden by the overhang 😂

My doctor said to have it at 37 weeks because the baby is full then then but anytime after 37 weeks is a risk

Was scheduled to have him at 36 weeks. I had bleeding throughout my entire pregnancy and was in the hospital the majority of the last couple of months. Got sent home the last time and ended up having heavy bleeding and unfortunately had to have him delivered early at 35 weeks.
