Potty trainng with a tummy bug
Hello we are currently potty training out 3 and half year old for nursery in September and he may have contracted a bit of a tummy bug and not feeling right. Not sure what to do do I keep him in a pull up or continue with big boy pants. I dont want to annoy him as all he wants to do is lie on the sofa and I’m unsure if he may take runny poos. Any advice would be most welcome

We haven’t put pull ups on it but he is having numerous accidents a day with wee wees. We have been doing this for a month or more and I’m just so exhausted of cleaning up we I feel like giving up but I know many others are like this . I feel so bad but burned out at the same timexx

How far into the training are you? If it’s been a while (few weeks or more/ he’s really got the concept then just cover the sofa. If you’re able to put training pads inside your sofa cushions. We used puppy training pads. Line the sofa. Put the potty at the end of the sofa. Then put him on it regularly may have to literally hug him whilst he’s on it. If your only a week/ not grasped the concept fully then yeah put pull ups on him. Hopefully it’s just a 24hr bug and he’s fine after a day or 2 and straight back into training without fighting it
