Are your 2yos still taking naps??

Some days, my daughter has a really consistent sleeping/napping schedule, and other days she completely skips a nap, but I never know if she'll stay alseep all night or if she'll wake up after a few hours as if it was just a nap, and she's full of energy and ready to be up. It really messes up her schedule when this happens, but if she's not tired, I can't make her sleep, and if she's tired, I'm not going to wake her up. I have always followed her lead when it comes to sleep, and that has been wonderful for both of us. The only thing I will do is try and get her to lay down at a reasonable time when I know she should be tired, but if it's not happening, I don't fight it. The five hour wake window always seems to be way too short for her.

My son still naps. There's definitely some days I'll put him down for it and doesn't nap and that's fine. Our schedule is 6-7am wake up he usually wakes at 6:30am. Nap at 12:30pm Bedtime 7pm I don't wake him in the morning he wakes up on his own and here & there he'll sleep until 7:30. I put him down for his nap and he usually takes 20-40 mins to fall asleep but he's content in his bed and once he falls asleep he's up by 2:30-3:30. Once in a while, he'll sleep longer so I will wake him by 4pm. I put him down at 7pm sometimes 7:30 at the latest. He'll take anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours sometimes to fall asleep and as usual he's content the whole time in bed playing with the stuffed toys he has in there. He does sometimes wake during the night usually around 3am to 4am, then goes right back to sleep until he wakes for the day.

My 3 year old still does

Naps and rest are great for brain development, ideally until 5 but children seem to be steering away from it around 3. An active morning, consistent time and routine before lying down should be helpful..
