Has anyone’s husband/partner had the snip on the nhs? If so is it easy to do or do you have to wait ? I’ve got twins and a three year old girl and defo do not want anymore, my partners not really up for the snip but i’m gonna put his name anyway! literally feel like i’ve done my part and it’s his turn to do something intrusive but is it that bad!!? His excuse is there’s 8 month wait!!? is that true or is he having me on! little shit lol x Thanks for advice in advance :)

I had our twins the beginning of October '23, I think he spoke to the doctor in January and had the snip in April, it was quick 😃 My husband always said he'd get the snip once we were done 🥰 He was still going to have it done after I had my tubes removed during my c section but I didn't end up having one 😃

If this is a cis-male its a vasectomy. You can get it on nhs but depending on your area there my be a waiting list

Just be careful, vasectomies often reverse themselves even after years and years and years.. I worked in OB and we see A LOT of vasectomy babies. My step sister actually just had a vasectomy baby, her fiance had his done 10 years ago 😅 plus I very heavily believe it's his body and his choice, if he wants is Vas Deferens cut that's his decision. If I put my man on a vasectomy list when he didn't want it, he'd likely leave me 🫶🏻

@Kylee wow that’s scary they can reverse! I’m only joking i’m not doing against his will lol he will doit - he just moans but that’s usual 😂

@sam yeah the only 100% guarantee that you won't get pregnant again is with a hysterectomy. 🫶🏻 the Vas Deferens want to heal, they want to function, so the male body will fight and fight for years to reconnect them, and it will succeed lol 😅
