PCOS and Pregnancy

I have PCOS and conceived with help of IVF. I honestly didn't think alot of it, just very grateful we finally conceived and I dont misscary (one time miscarry is traumatic enough). Are you having PCOS because of insulin resistance? Please dont worry as much since there is not alot you can do! It's easier for me to say because I am currently 20 weeks, but I hope the worry will pass for you soon!

I’ve got PCOS and had help with conceiving. My pregnancy was pretty straight forward… however I’d probably say the hospitals near me didn’t seem all that clued up on PCOS and despite being desperate to breastfeed I wasn’t producing enough milk… that’s the only thing I would say is you MAY not be able to breastfeed as well as PCOS is linked to low supply x

I have PCOS and now at 32 weeks with my first. I was lucky in that we conceived naturally. I took supplements in advance to keep hormones in balance and kept trying but was surprised that it worked. I’ve kept a healthy (ish) diet, making sure to keep moving, listen to my body and take pregnancy supplements. That’s all Ive done to be honest

I’m currently 21. Also have PCOS. I’m now 28 weeks pregnant. I was told by my GP that I didn’t need to worry about going on the pill because “having PCOS is contraception enough” and lo and behold I then fall pregnant! I’ve not had any issues so far and not been told by my midwife that I’m likely to have any complications. If there’s anything you’re every worried about I’d say just give your midwife a call and see what they say

I was diagnosed with pcos a week before my sister. I was told getting pregnant would be harder and was in the process of being referred for fertility help when I found out I was pregnant. I’m now 33 weeks +4 days and everything has been fine :)

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 14, never had any scares like you, had weight loss surgery in February and I’m now also 27 and 8 weeks pregnant! It’s crazy going from thinking I would never have children without medical intervention to accidentally falling pregnant!! We literally didn’t use protection for 5 years, used protection straight after my operation apart from literally one drunken night and here we are! I’m personally trying to focus on the positives! Each day that goes by your risk of miscarrying gets smaller and smaller. Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy x
