I had my daughter in private hospital and they provided formula for her as my milk took few days to come in after the C-section. They provide it in a single use bottles with single use teats, the formula is ready to be used, no need to mix it with water. You don't need to bring anything. They had two brands to choose from, Aptamil and I think Nan (if I remember correctly).

I had my little one in a private hospital in Feb this year. The hospital provides formula which is ready to use with different types of bottle teats which you just twist onto the ready to use formula. No bottles to sterilise, unless you decide that you want to bring your own bottles, then you might also need to get a microwave steriliser. Most hospitals have a microwave for their patients and their familes to use. With regards to choosing a formula brand, we were asked to pick one, and also sign a consent form that we asked for formula. Hope all goes well

From my experience (public) it was a lot more straightforward than I envisaged! Struggled to find info on this. The hospital have pre-sterilised bottles, little Medela ones that are one use then throwaway. They don’t love you sterilising in the hospital as it may involve boiling water/steam, or plugging your own electrical items in. Easier to use the bottles they provide. They gave us packs of 5 at a time to keep in our room. We just asked for more as required. Formula wise they did have it, but if you were opting for formula feeding they advised you should bring your own. In any case I would bring your own based on the formula you want to give your baby. Then you/the midwives can make bottles using your formula. Feel free to DM me. I spent ages stressing on this and found zero useful info online 😅

They’ll give you sterile disposable bottles or cup feed / syringe feed them
