Baby sitters

If you really don’t have anyone you know who can help I would try and find someone locally that’s recommended by multiple mums rather than finding a stranger via agency etc. - not worth the risk. Do you have a FB group / mum group for your local area that you could post on asking for recommendations?

We dont have anyone. My daughter is probably on the spectrum too so she needs extra special care. I thought if they are drb checked and have special needs training they may be ok

We've not used a babysitter yet but when we're ready I plan to use someone who works at the nursery. They've all had the right checks and already know my kids so it seems like a win:win. If your child goes to nursery or a childminder you could try that? Or go along to one you've had good recommendations for and ask if staff do babysitting on the side. The usually do!

My friend has babysat for the Sitters agency before now. There are stringent requirements on signing up - everyone has to have a DBS check, work or have worked in childcare, etc. I think it’s quite pricey though! https://www.sitters.co.uk/

We have been using a couple of ladies from nursery as well. It works really well as our little one isn’t comfortable with just anyone, but really excited if one of them comes over 😊
