MIL bought us a gift and I trying it - now I’m panicking 🙈
Bit of a random one and not really baby related but hoping someone can help! My MIL kindly bought us some summer dresses for my daughter but we have soooo many and she gave us the receipt in case we didn’t want them, so I went to return them.
I explained to the woman at Boots and she processed the refund and then asked for the card it was originally paid for with. I said I didn’t pay for it as it’s a gift and said I’m happy to have a voucher. She said not to worry, just put my card in the machine and she’ll return onto that.
There’s nothing in my account for the refund - do you think it’s gone back into my MIL’s account?? I don’t know if that’s possible, as I put my card in for the refund. I’m not bothered about the money just more that it’d be awkward she knew I returned them within an hour of her giving them to me 😂

It’s not possible for the refund to have gone back onto her card if you put your card in and the refund was processed onto that, the system doesn’t work like that. Refunds can take 3-5 days to show in your account. Although the woman at boots really shouldn’t have refunded onto a different card, that’s naughty of her 🙈

It will go on your card it can take 5 days though x

When did you return them? Sometimes it can take a few days to process. I don't think it would go onto your MILs card since it was yours that was put into the machine xx
