How do you entertain baby all day?

Honestly, this is something i'm struggling with! We go for walks, he plays on the mat with his toys but doesn't like it for long! I put some childrens songs on for him on youtube as he likes those but i don't know what else to do. Please no hate about the screen time, i think i would go insane without it some days x

No one should hate on you for doing what you have to, to get through the day plus it’s your child not theirs. I’m struggling too. My mum got her a bouncer and a walker but I’ve heard so many bad things about them damaging hips I’m now worried to use them 🙈 she’s also napping for like 10 minutes at a time so it’s becoming really tiring trying to entertain and keep on top of everything else 😩

We got given a jumperoo and I felt the same about the stories damaging the hips @Sibs. But I kept reading 10-15 min bursts they'd be fine. And honestly my LB absolutely loves it. He goes mental in it! But I could have written this exact post. 12 hours a day while Daddy is at work is becoming hard to entertain.

Was literally going to write this post myself. And my boy is learning to crawl but he's getting frustrated so he's usually moving around the room screaming and whining 😫 if I pick him up he just wants to be put down again then it repeats lol. Today is raining so limits what to do with him but I'm literally going to go to big tesco to walk around when he wakes up 😅 x

We usually go out for a coffee/walk in the morning, and in the afternoon at home I move him between high chair (to accompany me for my lunch), play mat, mamas & papas bug seat, cosatto car seat, or in bed with me for a chat or music if he is bored of all of the above options. I then hand him over to his dad after 5.30pm. Maybe because I have an angel baby who can happily play alone, I find a day passes so quickly!

We also got a jumperoo and just have him in it for short times, he loves it! It is hard, now his wake windows are getting longer I’m always looking for new things that will entertain him. He loves the foil blanket, he’ll sit up and crunch it, lie on it and kick his legs or I’ll put it over his play gym like a fort. We’ve been playing in his high chair more recently, with like make shift drums and shakers or building blocks.

talking to people over video chat helps too, my little one loves it if baby doesn't have eczema playing in the water works too for about an hour (make sure you get some splashy light up toys) cook together ... all the shapes and the colors are interesting (don't expect to get much cooking done and pick the simplest thing ever) play musical instruments (don't worry if you s**k LO will love it) rearrange their clothes and make sure you show them each and every one and tell them how pretty they are, maybe get baby changed a few times too (this got my LO from hating to be dressed or undressed to ask for it)

play tickle and kiss games give them a very very large peach or a pear or a plum to eat. (all of it but keep an eye with pear when they are about to reach for the seeds to take it away) - it's a real challenge to hold and it's yum

go shopping go to baby classes go to baby swimming classes so that you can go swimming go for a coffee in a place for babies go to any place with kids - babies love watching small people

Now I feel awful that I haven’t done half of this stuff suggested 🙈

@Bonnie haha i've done tesco's too! Big day out to tesco's 🤣

I put songs on Alexa and we dance, my little one finds it hilarious 😂 Lots of free clubs locally and we also visit lots of supermarkets 😂
