How long does teething earache normally last?

Like does it last until the tooth's fully come through or should it just last a couple of days? My son's been pulling at his ear none stop for about 4 days now and don't know whether to take him to the doctors or not. He had 3 come through a couple of weeks ago and now he's got another 3 all at once so I imagine he's just in a lot of pain

My baby keeps doing this aswell but still no teeth come through (can just see two little bumps)& keep thinking if I should take him doctors or not - read it could be teeth or ear wax and the list goes on so so confused on what to do🤦🏻‍♀️x

@Tereza yeah that's what I've read. He's always been really sensitive about his ears anyway so I feel like the slightest thing would irritate him. He seems fine in himself and no symptoms of an infection besides the fact he keeps pulling on it. I don't know if maybe it's the heat as well? I hate him not being able to just tell me what's wrong😂

If you're at all concerned I would take him to the doctor to be checked. I must have taken mine about 6 times just for worrying about an ear infection for it to be teething every time 😅 but I think it's better to be safe than sorry as if it is an ear infection and it's left it can result in a perforated eardrum which is really nasty.

You should definitely take them to the doctors! Mine is teething and was sooo fussy pulling at his ear, turned out to be an ear infection . 😬
