When is everyone starting? What are the signs for when you know they’re ready?

I did say I was going to start this summer but I don't think he's ready and my health visitor has said mostly people try too early and there regression and I most likely won't get him properly learning until next summer. I pop him on the potty before a bath and I sit on the toilet at the same time but he typically just laughs at me. I also when I change his nappy talk about how we has done a wee or a poo and how this goes in the potty but it's just talk at the moment. Past couple days he has started to come over and say if he's done a poo so it's sinking in slowly I think. As much as I want him potty trained I'm not going to pressure it

I’ve decided this week to make a start. I saw a 3 day course which I looked into but we’re on day 3 today but he’s definitely not ready for that yet. It’s too intense so we’re starting slow. He knows when he’s pooing and weeing but the wees are really quick and difficult to catch. We’ve had successes at catching poos today but no wees yet. I would say if they know they’re doing it, you can at least be having the conversation about what’s happening, and introducing the idea x

My son is 2 in August & definitely not ready. He has a potty and has no interest in using it, he just plays with it. My mil is pressuring us/ him to be trained this summer, but we just aren’t there yet & that’s okay. I’m not going to make it difficult for us or my son xx

Yes my thoughts exactly.

We're doing our twins starting Sunday. Can't wait, pray for me

We got a potty and she sits on it and says wee wee poo poo but then get up and wees on the floor lol she’s not 2 till end of November tho

I started potty training my LG at around 18 months old, I just bought a the toddler toilet seat and she hated it for like two months so we didn’t push her, but instead I started to tell her what I was doing in the toilet and helped her differentiate between pee and poo, so now she’s figured out where poo comes from and when it’s coming so she’ll ask to go the toilet “actually saying mama poop, hurry, poop!” 😂 she poops in the toilet now, but still pees in her nappy because by the time she’s saying she needs to peep 90% of the time she’s actually peeing as she speaks. So introduce it gently and let them show you signs of readiness
