Moses baskets?

Thoughts on Moses baskets? I am debating if I will use it or not. I have the moving swing and the sleepyhead deluxe…🤷🏼‍♀️

i’ve got a moses basket for downstairs, it’s not recommended for newborns to sleep in a swing and i don’t think the sleepyhead is classed as safe sleeping

@Jami thank you that’s helpful!!

We still use ours at 4.5 months but with my first son I ended up selling as we never used it🤍 think we use it more now because we have a 4 year old so need to move baby away from said crazy brother😂😂😂

We used sleepyhead 24/7 with my first born. As he was the only child he literally lived in it, whether it was on sofa, in cot, on the floor🙈😂 it is classed as unsafe sleeping but we was always there with him. We never left him overnight etc in it x

We got ours second hand. They really didn’t stay in them long. I personally only used it the first month.

we had him in a moses basket in the day and night until about 5 weeks, now (9 weeks) the moses basket stays downstairs for daytime naps and his next to me for nighttime, i got scared about the “unsafe” guidance for sleepyheads/baby nests but my sister used them with both hers. i think moses baskets are easier as you can leave them in it to sleep and don’t have to monitor them constantly like with baby nests x

We used it for daytime naps with my first until 6 months but I never could use it with my second as my first was too loud for her to sleep downstairs so she should have been sleeping upstairs in her bed for naps too. She wasn't napping for the first 3 weeks anyway only slept at night 🤣

Mine used his Moses basket as his bed downstairs and up for 6 weeks he then completely out grew it and he went into a sleepyhead during the day and a then a sleepyhead in his next 2 me for around 2/3 weeks which he then outgrew. From then on he’s napped upstairs in his next 2 me during the day and gone to bed fine in it at night also.

My daughter stayed in her moses basket until she was 8 months! She was fairly small, and she could sit up etc in it, but it worked for us and she slept brilliantly!

I got a Moses basket for both pregnancies. My first I used it a lot downstairs when I was in the living room. My second child I put it inside her next to me cot that’s beside my bed because it’s so much easier to move her. I’d bring it into living room in the evening and I’d get her to sleep in there first and then instead of having to awkwardly pick her up and not wake her and carry her in my arms to the cot for transfer, id just grab the Moses basket handles and carry that into the cot and she’d always sleep through it! I stopped around 2m but that’s because she was big and wriggly so she needed more room but my first daughter was tiny when born so could have easily stayed in it until she was about 8 months. She still climbs into it now at 15m

Used moses basket , didnt think it was essential initially but i was wrong. Used it for about 4 months through day and night .

We had a Moses basket downs stairs for the first 4 months then we felt like he outgrew it as he wouldn’t settle. Moses basket was used for day time naps or sleeping in the evening , then a snuzpod at night at the side of our bed. He now had a daytime nap upstairs so we’re not disturbing him and he goes to bed around 7pm. Nests aren’t recommended for safe sleeping and I would think a moving swing is not recommended for sleep?
