When do babies start sleeping through the night ??

I am a first time mommy and my 7.5 month old wakes up 2-3 times most nights ,not for milk most of the times. She is not sleep trained and currently sleeps in thr crib and we move her in the night to sleep with us. When do babies start naturally sleeping through the night ??

It is different with each baby. We just let our son eat a hearty amount of baby oatmeal then do our kisses, lay him down in the crib, turn on his music and projector. We started him out in a bassinet for two months next to our bed, then moved to the pack n play and moved to the other side of the room, 1 week of pack n play in the livingroom, did a nap in the crib in his shared room with our oldest and now he won't sleep anywhere else. Try a diffuser with lavender essential oil. We also use Thermal-Aid Zoo - Mini Microwavable Stuffed Animal from Amazon when he won't settle. But he's been sleeping through the night since March and again it varies per baby.

I wish I could help but our son always slept through night starting at 3 weeks old we had to wake up ourself just to make sure he had a feeding at night.

If it’s not for milk and everything is ok (confirm on monitor), consider letting her cry it out a little. It doesn’t need to be the whole night, but give her a pacifier and leave her alone for a little longer. Don’t pick her up, but only rub her tummy and shush when you give her the pacifier. If you go in to check on her/rub her belly, don’t talk to her and don’t make eye contact. That’s stimulation and will keep her up longer. Give a good sniff for poop, but if it’s just pee, also don’t change her diaper (diaper changes are very stimulating at this age)! I know in the middle of the night I just wanted to get my daughter quiet as soon as possible so we could all go back to sleep. These steps will take longer; it will be 3-7 days of worse sleep, but then it will (likely) get dramatically better. Consider doing this over a weekend or a time where you (or one of her caregivers) isn’t working so you can catch up on sleep. You’ve got this mama! It’s tough but it’s a phase.

Wherever you feed them good good and heavy

Ours has been sleeping through the night since he was one month old

Without feeds ?

We would just make sure he was good and full before he went to sleep. If he woke up for a bottle (which was only during growth spurts) then that was fine but other than that he would just sleep until 6am.

Are your babies sleep trained ?

My baby started sleeping through the night at 4 months. She started sleeping through the night when I allowed her to learn how to put herself back to sleep. Babies need to be given the opportunity to self soothe. Once I started doing that, she has been sleeping through the night. If we pick them up when they start crying, they don’t get a chance to learn how to self soothe.
