Daughter up all night

My husband works overnight and our daughter REFUSES to sleep until he comes back. Most days she's asleep before he goes to work but some days not so much and tonight is one of those nights. Does anyone else deal with something like this and how can I get her to calm down. Momma TIRED.

Hi, how old is your daughter ?

@Chantelle she's 3

My daughter went through this… she slept with me most nights because I just couldn’t do it

Been in the same boat but with a one year old! Taking them back into a bath or shower can be super helpful at like triggering their brain to re-start the bed time routine even if it already happened. Sometimes a walk outside for a few minutes is also superb at helping! Theres an old saying that when kids are disregulated & nothing that normally works is working ; take them out in to nature or bring them into water! Does something between their brain & bodies that helps reset their nervous systems!!

I did the sleep training, which is working! You should check it out 😊

Hi Christina. So it sounds like your daughter is just negotiating like all toddlers and little people do. If you like, we can have a chat and see if a gentle sleep training plan might work for you guys. To help set boundaries with her and eliminate the negotiations. So she can understand that she CAN sleep with or without dad being home, this cresting healthy independent sleep habits.
