Vomitting in the night

My daughter woke up coughing last night, she has had a lingering cough now for about a week, but only really if she lays down, last night she had such a coughing fit that it made her sick in her cot and then I stupidly gave her some milk after and she sicked that up too. Has anyone else’s LO been sick from coughing? Also have heard there is a virus going round at the moment, has anyone had that and is that vomiting? She doesn’t have a temp

My LO is the exact same ! Woke up to him having been sick in his cot he is fine in himself though! He also has a cough! Haven’t give him his milk have learnt my lesson with that in the past! See how she goes maybe just offer some water and dry breakfast for now x

Oh no your poor bub! She was fine yesterday and even was kind of fine in herself in the night, just upset she had been sick. But I just can’t work out if the cough is what made her sick or she has the virus that seems to be going round?! Or both. I can’t see mine having dry toast etc, which I know is what you’re meant to give, what are you going to give yours? Thanks for replying - hope he feels better soon xx

Ah bless her. It’s hard isn’t it when they don’t understand isn’t it. Mine like dry cereal anyway but, I’d give toast just with less butter.. It sounds like maybe a bug if she bought up her milk without coughing! I’ve just covered up my sofa and floor just in case he is sick again! 🤢 I hope she feels better soon, you have got this momma xx

Yeah it's very normal for them to vomit when they cough lovely, they have short tracts so the act itself is enough to cause it. There's loads at the minute due to the shitty weather and potentially general lack of hygiene again in general so feels worse too xx
