Feeling worried ☹️

I've been have growth scans as my baby is measuring a little small. He was following the bottom line but at today's scan he's down dropped below so I've been referred to fetal medicine. I am so worried that something could be wrong ☹️ has anyone else had this? I'm 32 weeks today, they said if he doesn't pick up at the next scan I will likely be induced at 36 weeks

Following hun, I’m in the same boat we’ve gone from 10th to 1.9th centile I’ve got another scan and seeing the consultant on Monday 🥺🤞🏼 hoping to know more then xx

Same to me dont know what to do, i am 35 weeks pregnant and they said your fundal height decrease and give me appointment to fetal medicine but they didnt told me about induction

I’m had this with my first pregnancy and my daughter came out perfectly healthy at 39 weeks and 6 pounds! Listen to your body, I was terrified and very overwhelmed at the time and constantly worried myself sick but she was absolutely fine I know everyone’s different but I wanted to share my experience as it was positive xxx

This happened to me this week too at 34 weeks. They put me on Day assessment unit checks once or twice a week from this stage and I have the FMU scan next week to see if there's any cause for his drop in centile. Key things I was told was that none of it was caused by me and that I just need to keep a really close eye on movements, anything concerning just go to triage! If there's any clear medical concern/cause for him being small or not growing then induction definitely by 37 weeks, but it might just be that he's small and there's actually no real risk/concern. Doesn't mean I was in tears and didn't overthink and analyse anything. I feel you and hope everything goes well for you! ♥️

I went to today's appointment on my own convinced that everything would be fine and that he had started to put on weight so I just wasn't expecting it. I got upset and I didn't ask half the questions I wanted too. In trying not to stress. They've given me an appointment for next Thursday to see where his growth is and if they can find a reason why he isn't growing well. I just need to try and stay calm before then and not stress out.xx

@Jennifer I had similar today. I went in for an extra midwife appointment due to having low Papp-a and higher blood pressure. When they measured me I was measuring the same as the previous 2 appointments so I have a growth scan Monday.

Try not to worry, I had so many growth scans with my daughter as she dropped lower at each one, she was 5lb 8oz at 39 weeks, perfectly healthy just dainty, still is now at 17 months and still in 3-6 month clothes. Some babies are just smaller in build

Thankyou. I am trying to not worry! He's moving around lovely and they didn't pick up anything wrong during any of my other scans so I have to just not stress xx

I'm 34 weeks and been told my baby is large I'm more scared they told me all pros and cons of large babies just stressing out

Same with me, I had my growth scan today I'm 35 weeks and baby is measuring small he's only 3lb 15oz at 35 weeks, they've booked me in for an induction at 37 weeks and got to have growth scans every week until then.

@Chloe on a large baby it's understandable to have early delivery Because baby is growing bigger already and would be difficult to deliver till last week But why do they do early delivery on small babies? Why doesn't let baby grow till end

@Luv K the doctor said it's because he's very tiny and not growing fast enough so leaving him until full term can be dangerous as it's more likely for still births etc, and being small brings other complications too such as issues with the umbilical cord, blood flow to the brain etc. honestly I wouldn't rather him be huge and healthy rather than being small☹️ I might have to have a c section as baby may not have the energy to make it through a natural birth💔 SO stressed just want him here safe and healthy
