if your baby falls from something that is their height or taller they need to go to the hospital for a check
@Kennedy really? Are you sure? I have never heard that or been told that
@Amber yes that is the general rule of thumb a fall from a height that is equal to or greater than your baby’s can cause a crack in the skull, swelling in the brain and sometimes aren’t even noticeable because they act normal. I’ve seen so many instances where this happens but because the baby acted normally the parents didn’t take them in and the baby had a seizure in their sleep due to brain swelling. i’m not trying to scare you or anything it just never hurts to be sure it could be nothing though
Yes , our bed is pretty tall. He was 5 month. we called his pediatrician and they told us to go to the ER to get him looked at. Did some imaging and he was fine. He’s crawling, trying to walk /stand and he’ll be 8 months on August 1! 💙
the first time this happened to my son I was doing the same thing. My pediatrician said to just monitor his soft spot and his behavior. Make sure he was acting as he normally did on the day to day. This was when he was 4 months old. I would say the same would apply now. She might get a bruise but it'll go away. It happens to all babies. 💗

Call your pediatrician. He can asses your baby over the phone. In the meantime, monitor her for any abnormal behavior. Oh and check her colar bones. Falls are inevitable, don’t beat yourself up about it. Parenting is hard. 💪💕 The key is to respond swiftly.
