Do you bottle or breast feed your baby before a solids meal?

I saw somewhere they should be well fed to decrease the risk of choking? But my baby seems to have no interest in food when I put them down in front of it so I’m worried if it’s because they’re full?

The nhs solids training course I went on said to offer solids before their usual milk - also on their website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/weaning-and-feeding/babys-first-solid-foods/ I’ve not heard of it decreasing the risk of choking before (this is my second child)

I give my son milk before solids. Only because when I first started out weaning, I gave milk after and he would refuse boob or if bottle drink only 1 or 2 oz. My hv recommended feed before solids and it's worked. I will slowly Start to feed before solids once he is abit more established

I do milk first and then about an hour later offer breakfast etc .. so he's up at 7am for morning bottle and then 8ish do breakfast before he's too tierd at 9am! mum life is a lot of maths 😅😆

I breastfeed and then wait 45mins before offering food and ensure meal time ends at least 45mins before baby naps

I also BF before solids. I started the other way round, solids and then BF but as @Rhi said my son would refuse the boob as he was full.

We alternate. Milk about 5am breakfast at 8am, milk at 11am lunch at 1pm, milk at 3pm, dinner at half 5, bottle at 8pm, 11pm and 2am
