Carrycot to stroller seat advice

Hey! My baby is 3 months old, has good head control and can hold himself up in a seated position when I stabilise his hips. He is fast approaching the 9kg weight limit of my pram carry cot. About 2 lbs off. He's gonna reach the 9kg wright limit before he is 6 months which is when the transition is recommended, and maybe before he is sitting unaided... can I change him to the pram seat still or is this bad for him??

My daughter was sitting unaided at 4 months. We made the switch around this time too. She LOVED being able to see everything when out and about! You could always make the switch and recline him back a little bit in the pram seat ☺️

@Francesca he's not sitting unaided yet 😫 I'm just sure that he's gonna be too big for his carry cot soon so I dunno what to do haha. It does recline though like you say so that might be my solution I just don't want to keep him in the carrycot knowing the manufacturers say it has a weight limit that he'd be over haha. Seems unsafe

We moved to the seated position at about 4 months and just tilted it back so it supported her enough
