Baby behind on milestones?

I feel like my baby is behind on everything. She’s standing and trying to walk and can do a little scoot, but she doesn’t have any teeth, isn’t really saying any words, just cooing and finding her voice. I know babies develop differently but there’s so many babies her age with multiple teeth and talking and such, and i feel like a failure as a mom because of it. Anyone else feel this way?

Mine is at the exact same stage as you where he’s standing but his teeth aren’t there and he doesn’t say any definite words

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that because all babies learn differently

I’m right there with you, my little girl says mama and dada but thats it. She doesn’t have any teeth, she stands and scoots but seems to have no interest in crawling.

@Kassidy i think the only word I’ve ever heard her say is hey, and i don’t think she’s even trying to say hey 😭

I honestly don’t think she’s even specifically saying mama and dada I think it’s just sounds she’s doing and in my mind that’s just what she’s saying. My husband and mom both say the don’t really hear it😢

My baby is the same way but she’s not even standing yet. She’s also really been struggling with solids. I’ve started BLW to see if it gets her more interested but not much progress yet. I’m constantly feeling mom guilt every time I resort to a bottle or pick her up during tummy time bc she’s upset. It’s so easy to compare with other baby’s at the same age, my sister and I had our LOs close together and her baby is talking, moving around like crazy and eats every meal they make. Just know you are not alone and you’re doing a great job momma!

Comparison is the thief of joy, all babies develop on their own timeline, and your pediatrician knows a heck of a lot more about milestones than Internet strangers do. I also wouldn't believe everything people say on here. The way things are going, I'm just waiting for someone in the group to claim that their 8 month old baby can recite the Gettysburg Address. 🍿

Mine doesn’t have any teeth yet either 🥲

That’s… normal? I’m not sure what you’re concerned about. Babies don’t say words (at least not intentionally) or walk at that age. If they do it’s extremely extremely early. Have you looked at milestone ranges online? If you did you would see your babe is not behind at all.

Mine doesn’t have any teeth either and I’m not sure why that should make you feel bad, like is there something we can do to speed up the teething process? I’ve been under the impression that it’s up to each baby, and not much we can influence..
