Anxiety at night

Does anyone else get crippling anxiety on a night knowing you’re going to be woken every hour. It makes me sick to my stomach and can’t even eat my dinner😢 I just can’t shake it

I've had quite bad anxiety around sleep from the get go, and I did find going to bed as soon as she's down helps as I know I have quite a lot of hours I can try and get sleep in. I also use a eye mask which helps and try and count to sleep, I also try and relax all my muscles and jaw etc

Yes I had this when we were going through the 4 month regression which seemed to last until she was 6 months! I would feel sick in the evenings thinking am I going to see every hour on the clock. She’s started sleeping better consistently and the anxiety has waned.

Yes!!! My anxiety is very bad around sleep as we have had some seriously rough months go by of little to no sleep for me (and baby!). I developed crippling insomnia from the constant wake ups which was so hard to overcome, though it still isn’t completely gone and some nights I lay awake for hours with anxiety. Like you say I start thinking about it early on and then find it so hard to sleep with wondering when I’ll be woken up, and it’s so hard being that tired all of the time, sending hugs because it’s rough going; but it won’t be forever 🤞🏻😅💙 x

I had exactly the same as Naomi above. I have anxiety around going to sleep because I got insomnia from a dreadful few weeks of my baby screaming all night and I was wired and on high alert waiting for her to wake up so couldn’t sleep. I still get very anxious if I have a night where I don’t get much sleep or can’t sleep. Hopefully once your baby is sleeping better the anxiety will ease. X

I did with my first born. I used to listen to meditations in bed to help me sleep and relax. It took my mind off it xxx
