When we potty trained our LO we made a huge fuss whenever she did a wee or a poo on the potty, all her toys would go crazy and my partner and I cheered like someone just scored a goal 😂. We also went cold turkey with the nappies, just started her in knickers, the first day there were A LOT of accidents, I had a timer go off every 40 minutes and sat her on the potty when it went off and then we did a big celebration with any successful wees and poos on the potty. She did get the hang of it quite quickly, also got her knickers with Bluey and frozen on I think that helped. It took about 5 months to be accident free x
My daughter is exactly the same. I think the sensation of weeing in a potty / toilet is scary - they like the comfort of the soft nappy to wee into. We tried stickers or even chocolate (which she loves) as reward, but she's just scared. I think like others say, we just need to go nappy free for a few days and see if that helps. But like yours, my lo is really good at holding, and will probably just wait until nap/night...which makes it hard to get much practice in. She'll sit happily on the potty and sing songs/read books etc, as long as she doesn't need to go. If she needs to go, she'll jump up straight away and ask for a nappy. I'm sure she's ready as she knows when she goes, hates nappy changes, wants to wear pants, etc, but it's just scary as it's so different to what they're used to. Planning to try again in the next couple of weeks as like you getting a bit stressed with school only a year away. Let me know if you get any breakthrough/anything else that works!
Don’t feel pressure, maybe just wait and try again. If she’s not 100% ready it’ll make it harder in the long run xx
