Braxton hicks- 20 weeks?

Can you start to feel braxton hicks at 20 weeks. My stomach keeps going really tight and hard which then becomes very uncomfortable and a little painful , it doesn’t last for ages an hour max but is this common. This is my first pregnancy and it makes me so anxious because I’m so horrible with pain. 😭😅

I’ve had this early doors, it’s just your stomach contracting (I was told) and completely normal as everything’s stretching and changing etc. It’s a weird feeling! X

Make sure you’re drinking plenty. BH can be due to dehydration.

Yes. Our wombs contract with braxton hicks from 7nweeks but most people wont feel them until the last trimester. For me it was baby 1 16 week Baby 2 12 weeks Baby 3 +4 8/9 weeks.ish and becoming annoying by 12! I've had a few instances where they've really ramped up like every few.mins for a.minute at a time,.lasting an hour or so. Loads of things can cause them, baby moving, clothes that are too tight, being dehydrated , full bladder, doing to much and needing to rest, or changing position. In this weather I reckon it will be dehydration. I usually get 2/3 BH throughout the day as standard. X
