I had a c section two weeks ago today and so pleasantly surprised with recovery itās not half as bad as I thought it would be. As long as you have someone to help you with what you canāt manage and stay on top of pain meds itās very manageable. Also if you do have one stand and lower to sit using leg muscles not stomach it makes a huge difference. Iām out for walks have been out for food, just got on with it from about day 6. The theatre team were great too so I found the whole thing very positive and would have another if needed
Sweeps donāt work for everyone so donāt get caught up if they donāt work. Theyāve never worked for me but Iāve had 2 successful vaginal births. I also donāt dilate until minutes before having my babies. I get to 2cm then stall for a few days then go from nothing to everything extremely quickly. Rest while you can and try not to stress. The more you relax the easier it is for your body to make the labour hormones x
Sorry to hear that! I recommend trying clary sage in the bath, I went into active labour the next day- worth a try; good luck x
