Help please

My teeth haven’t always been very good, I suffer with depression and anxiety and always struggled to take care of myself until a few years ago and after being pregnant my teeth have gotten worse. It’s very embarrassing. Any recommendations for non judgey dentists in the area. I’m extremely nervous to go to the one i am registered at as they aren’t very understanding. I’m really trying to take care of myself now for my little boy.

Im so sorry to hear this. A good dentist should not be judgemental. Are you looking to be seen on the NHS? I don’t know if you can see another dentist at a different practice under the NHS but it’s worth asking. I’m sorry I can’t recommend a particular dentist but they all should be understanding! And do their job properly. Perhaps mentioning the above prior to your appointment will help them to understand a little more. This is a step forward in the right direction, don’t be nervous, you should be taken care of. You’ve got this Mama!

I go to the Avenue Dental practice in Enderby and find them fab. They’re not taking on NHS Patients, but are taking on private patients if any good. Alternatively if you search on NHS website, you can find dentists which currently have space for NHS patients - although it’s very rare now x

I’m a private patient and thank you so much for your support🤍 it means a lot and I’m really grateful 🤍
