Is this normal?

My baby is 9 months old he is breastfed. Before he would only woke up around 2 times at night to just eat and now he is waking multiple times to eat approximately 4-6 times at night. My husband says that he just getting bigger so he wants to eat more times. Is this normal? I also notice that he doesn’t want to stay in anyplace on his crib or his walker unless I’m in his crib or next to him because if not he start crying until a pick him up

It’s the nine month sleep regression. It should only last a few weeks. Ours lasted about a week and a half.

I’m in the same phase with my little one, she will wake up multiple times wanting the boob and has been more clingy than usual 😩

Just posted, my daughter will be 9 months on Wednesday. We have been in a sleep regression since 6/23. She slept so beautifully and now she wakes 1-3x a night. I just rock her back to sleep. I don’t feed her because I didn’t wanna get her back in the habit for waking up for a feed. I breastfeed too

Maybe teething? If so, Tylenol can help.

Preparing for growth spurt?

@Taylor i would like to try to rock my baby back to sleep too, bf too. Does your baby get upset if you don’t give her boob ?

Mine is the same! The last two days he has been waking up so many times at night and really clingy. It’s almost like his cry is an anxious one, like he’s afraid I will leave. Breastfeeding usually put him back to sleep but now it only works half of the time. He is also babbling a lot more when he wakes up.

My little one isn’t breastfed anymore after 2 months but once she started waking up more I put cereal and/ or purée in the night time bottle and she would rest more.

@Kemily nope, when she wakes in the middle of the night she doesn’t try to go for a boob. She falls asleep as soon as I hold her
