Dressing baby at night

Our bedroom is quite warm at night, currently 24 degrees, baby is currently in a short sleeve bodysuit and a sleepsuit, I keep checking how he feels and his chest feels cool, I haven't got a sleep sack lower than a 1.5 tog but feel that might be too warm? Is the bodysuit and sleepsuit enough or too much? He doesn't feel hot to touch so I'm so confused in what to have him in😫🙈

My room is also 24, I have little one in a long sleeve vest and 1.5 sleep tog, she gets quite sweaty and warm to be honest, if your baby isn’t warm or cold to touch I’m sure they’re fine

Honestly, it can vary from guide to guide and child to child! My LG is in a 1 tog sleep bag and a long sleeved vest and it's currently 22.1 in here, she loves it like that and feels perfectly fine :)

Yeah the guides are all over the place. It’s 23 in our room and my little one is in a t shirt vest and a 1 tog bag. If it hit 24 I’d try him in a nappy and the 1 tog (much rather him be slightly cold than overheat, and he’d let me know if he was too cold). Id only be having vest sleep suit and 2.5 sleeping bag if it was less than 16. Every baby is different though for their comfort levels so as long as they’re not too hot to touch, face isn’t flushed red etc I’m sure it’s fine x

I have a very hot baby so I always have to dress her in less than what's recommended as she just starts sweltering! If it's 21°-22° I have her in a short sleeve vest and 0.5 tog

24/25 degrees here, currently in just a vest in bed with me, sheet over him which he kicks off 😂

Thanks all! He kept waking so must have been cold, I put him in a long sleeved bodysuit and a 1.5tog and he seemed okay in that 🙈 hate figuring out what to put him in! 😂

Were the exact same! We’ve been putting our girl in a sleepsuit and a 1.5 tog even though the room had been 24 degrees as she’s been waking up cold and cuddling up to the side of the next to me! But I’m so scared to put anymore layers on her especially as I had febrile convulsions as a baby 😩
