I was almost in your same position. Over due with a big baby who wasn’t very low yet. I got induced and dilated just fine but baby never dropped and so we went for a c-section after around 14 hours of labor. All I will say is this- it was a good experience all around even though it didn’t go how I wanted it to. My baby was too big, and too high and that’s just a fact. I couldn’t change that but I could pick the safest delivery method. Do what is best for you and your baby- you won’t regret it! I’m on day 2 of recovery and my pain is very controllable, the bleeding is minimal, and I am walking around slowly on my own. I still need a lot of help, but I can feel myself getting better each day. You got this mama! Wishing you allll the best.
My first was an emergency c section and 4 weeks ago I had my planned one... both were pleasant and no hectic.... it's always nerve wrecking but it's a quick process and as long as you have your healthy baby in the end everything else is a breeze... you got this and a healthy delivery for you and baby!!! ❤️don't forget to show us the little nugget! 😊
Thank you all I think I’m just more nervous because I’m a high risk momma also and just want baby girl and I to be okay@Stacey @Jazmine @Hannah Van Houten
I wish we would do more research. Im a 3rd time mama this time around why are they inducing you and your due date wasn't even here yet? They want to give you a c section bcus it pays more you can decline and have her when she is ready. Due date are just guesses you can be 2 weeks off actually. My due date was 25th I'm not rushing him out he is going to come when he is ready. My last birth was home unassisted and labor/contractions were over 24 hours. If I wouldnhave been at a hospital they would have tried to force me to have a csection.
Baby weight can be wrong as well. They told me my daughter could be low birth she came out 7 pd 10 oz
@ian they are giving me a c-section because baby heads not down enough he head is basically floating and I’m high risk the high risk dr suggest it and I was fine with it I’m not dilating at all and they said she probably wouldn’t be ready for a a long time they told me it was my best option she is almost 40weeks and I get she’s not ready but drs are only doing what’s best for her and I
I had a scheduled c section, but my girl came a week early (July 3rd). Still had the c section; she is my first. So the recovery is still fresh. I was nervous about the recovery more than anything. What I can suggest is to drink lots and lots of water, even before the surgery up until you can't, and then after surgery. It helps with the first bowel movement. And keep a good posture as soon as you can move around a bit after, bc that helps with trapped gas. Walk as soon as you feel up to it. When you feel pain, ask for meds, AND PEE WHEN YOU HAVE TO lol don't wait, that adds pressure to the location. I waited way too long after drinking a lot and the pain was not fun. Don't be afraid, bc after three days, you should be feeling better. The binder around the waist helps a ton, I slept in it for a few days after getting home. You got this girlie! Keep us updated 🥰
@Jenny thank you I feel so much more better after you telling me that!!! I will
@August Dr's like to rush and get paid. You have to understand that. Your due date could be 2 weeks off literally. My due date was the 25th of this month. I'm not allowing someone to rush my baby out or tell me when I should be giving birth or how. We give them too much control. C sections pay 77% more than regular births...do what you want with that info
I had an unplanned/emergency C-Section 2 weeks ago and have recovered quite well so far 🤞🏼 It's important that your partner helps with all the heavy lifting the first few weeks. Also make sure to stay hydrated, which will also help with breastfeeding. Once they took my catheter out and made sure my vitals looked good, the hospital nurses encouraged me to walk around the hospital wing 1x every 2 hours which also helps with your bowels/digestion. You will have a lot of gas afterwards from air entering your abdomen during the surgery so it's important to try to work things out ASAP!
