I give my daughter whole milk

My baby is fully breastfeed, had my 1year nutritionist appointment and she recommended whole milk but to do it gradually. A mix between breast and whole milk, like weaning all over again but with milk. Nido, Nestle, all that other sort of milk is not necessary, she said is full of stuff baby does not need. Just pure natural whole milk

Same here. I asked my pediatrician about toddler formula like Nido and she said there really isn't a need. They are whole milk based so you might as well just give them the whole milk directly. I actually picked up some organic milk today and my little one loved it. He's been majority breastfed and we only started combo feeding last month. His doc told me to either mix it with his breastmilk or just give him a small amount straight each day until his breastmilk and formula are all used up.

I gave my son nido. He liked it better because it was sweeter like breast milk. But it’s up to you. I personally liked it better and it was convenient when I was out and about because I could make it while I was out

@Cassie is hard when you go out and your baby wants milk? do you take some in a cooler or replace it with milk

Infant milk is regulated but toddler milk has no regulations so it is recommended that toddlers switch to whole milk. Of course the choice is up to the parent.

@kat when I go out I express and take a small cooler with me, I use the medela one. When I get home I will either use on her breakfast for pancakes or freeze it. And whoever has my baby either dady or my parents will have expressed frozen milk to give her.

Definitely whole milk as long as there’s no dairy allergy.
