Have you tried stretches?
Try taking a warm not hot bath, but they’ll probably tell you’ll “it’s normal” which sucks but it’s probably true . Try a belly band , bath, or laying upside down for like 5 seconds at a time
They won't do anything for it 😭 I had terrible sciatica early on in pregnancy for about 2 months couldn't sit or stand without pain
You're probably better off trying to find a chiropractor who works on pregnant women. Doctors won't be able to do much for you unfortunately
I’m sorry you are in so much pain. I’ve been dealing with it too. I take epsom salt baths daily sometimes in the morning and sometimes at night just depending on the pain, just got an exercise/birthing ball to do some hip movement on and stretches and it’s helped so far. Also, if you can lay on your back and use a yoga strap to stretch your IT band- it might help. I’ve had some relief with all these. There’s lots of free sciatica pain relief videos on YouTube .
@Mayte every single day multiple times a day lol
@Melody Elskes yes I’ve done all of that minus excercise ball, today it was just sooo much worse out of no where I got worried kind of
@Karis 🦩 I’m due in two weeks I wish I had done that. Before this I worked 50 hr weeks and the shifts we’re all different times all different days and then picked my son up when I had a day off then i moved the first of this month so I didn’t fit it in 😅🥲
I feel ya, incognito. I work full time and have 3 kids 4 years old and under. I don't have time for anything 🙃
Hi, I am 38 wks pregnant and have suffered from HORRIBLE sciatica (both before and now during pregnancy). Here are some things that help ease the pain (not necessary cure or make it go away but make it more manageable). 1.) laying down on my back with my feet/legs elevated above my heart line 2.) soaking for 45 mins to an hour in warm water with epsom salts 3.) going to a chiropractor 3x a week 4.) wearing a maternity belt that SPECIFICALLY helps push my pelvis/tailbone back in where it should be 5.) buying good quality walking shoes (I had the slip on black sketchers with memory foam) 6.) bought a hip heating pad off Amazon for when the pain was on/around my hip area I still suffer badly from sciatica so please don’t hesitate to message me if need to rant about the “joys” of sciatica or if you need anymore advice. Hope this helps! 🩷
Sounds like you could have a herniated disc.
@Veronica how would I figure this out? A dr trip I assume
Or I can go to a walk in clinic too. I can’t lift my leg to get into bed
