@Mika Interesting!! Do you know how this could be connected to ADHD?
@Mika There are sooo many symptoms that are attached to ADHD and how it looks different for kids, adults, men, and women. It’s wild. I know he’s still little so they’re most likely gonna have me wait till he’s about 3 or 4 years old. Dad for sure has ADHD and I’m looking to get tested for adult ASD. We both had issues with drug abuse in the past to cope with our symptoms (me: sensory overload/sensory seeking and him: racing thoughts/sensory seeking), so we’re hesitant on medication like Ritalin and Adderall. How was potty training for you when you were little?
I dont really remember my potty training period but i did have problems wetting the bed during that time and a little bit after as well.
And also my parents both had severe drug abuse problems when i was conceived as well, my father has bad adhd it runs it his family, but i did fine on ritalin. That was the whole reason they didnt want me on adderal actually but as a kid i knew nothing about drugs or anything that could harm you so i thought it was innocent, i actually made the decision myself at age 10-11 to cutt it off because i liked it better not being on anything it made me think i was cured. I havent been on anything since and im 19
Not me but my brother was diagnosed with ADHD when he was about 5, he was put on Ritalin and he ended up losing a lot of weight due to it. He also lost interest in a lot of the stuff he had enjoyed previously. If you do go the medication route, definitely research the side effects, and know that everyone responds differently to them. But also maybe look into other ways you could help him without medication too and see if those would work better for your situation.
Maybe ADHD? Tbh i grew up with kind of the same behavioral issues and the doc said it was connected with adhd/add
