On being pregnant or not
Iam Asking for a friend Looking for some advice, so I've been receiving fertility treatment and was given letrazole I have taken three test all came up positive due to feeling very sickly and hot recently but yesterday I got what I thought at first was implantation bleeding but then became more like my usual heavy period after testing positive that very morning Ive had advice from hospital regarding this but I still have many questions running through my mind like did I test to early can three tests be wrong, has something gone wrong is my body lying to me or just going through the motions has anyone experienced this or had usual period like flow after multiple positive tests and feeling unwell

I had IVF and in my first pregnancy I had a huge bleed like a heavy period for 2 days. Scans confirmed I was still pregnant but there was implantation bruising - that was the blood. Basically it's just internal bruising where they inserted the embryo. Your friend needs to go for a scan to check

Just updated unfortunately my friend got a negative test result this morning it looks like another chemical pregnancy she is absolutely devastated thank you for your support and reply’s xxx

I’m no expert but it sounds like it could be a chemical pregnancy or she could still be pregnant as some women do bleed during pregnancy. I think she needs to go to her local early pregnancy unit and ask for a scan to see what’s going on.
