Advice needed

my period is now over a week late, I have never been this late or ever missed a period. I have other symptoms of early pregnancy such as nausea, backaches, extreme tiredness etc as well. I did a test at the docs Saturday which I was told had a very faint positive line (but the doctor never actually showed me the test, so I am starting to doubt the result), I was told to test in a couple days which I did, I have now done multiple tests at home and they all come back negative. In theory I should be about 5 weeks pregnant (if successful 🤞🏼) has anyone else experienced this? My anxiety is now through the roof and want nothing more than a positive test. I am now worried I am putting too much pressure on myself x

Aww I’m not surprised! You just want to know and the uncertainty is horrible. I’d get back on to your GP and ask for an urgent blood test. Failing that if you want a quicker result you might be able to get your local EPU to do bloods for you x

I have tried digital tests, I haven’t tried strips maybe I will try those in a few days. Yeah, the uncertainty is horrible. I have booked blood tests but the soonest I can be seen in next Tuesday!! I might try my local EPU. Thanks all for the advice and support

The digital ones require a higher hcg to test your levels may not be there yet try the strips

With my first pregnancy I didn't get a "pregnant" on a digital until well after my period was due, it is anxiety inducing! I would try a First Response or clearblue, even the sensitive strip tests should pick up something too. Sounds really stressful for you xxxx

The strips were so light for me but the supermarket ones ended up showing great lines. I didn't get darker lines until I was about 5 weeks

The strips are showing negative as well. I have spoken to a doctor today who has advised for me to test once a week until either I get a positive or my period…waiting is so frustrating. Thank you all for your help 🤍

I feel you! I got two positive tests at the doctors but they've all been negative at home. They told me to test again in a week or two. I've sorted the maternity records so hopefully once I see someone I'll know what's going on

@Rhianna it’s so frustrating isn’t it, all this waiting just builds up so much anxiety. Really hope you get some answers soon x

I’m trying to be patient and wait until mid next week to test…it’s torture but so is continuous negative tests. Everyone I have spoken to say I need to wait and be patient. I have so many symptoms of early pregnancy I just need the positive test. How about you, have you had any positive tests?

I hadn't managed to get an positives at home but I had a darker positive at the doctors today! Scan on Wednesday due to pains now too. Luckily I don't have to wait ages! Have you tried having a chat with someone to see if they can do blood test or scan?

Congratulations on the darker positive today. Hope the scan goes well on Wednesday. I might try and see if I can get a blood test booked if I get another negative this week. My early pregnancy symptoms are getting worse so really hoping for the positive test this week 🤞🏼
