To uplift spirits ❤️

Hello girls, just wanted to say you’re all doing amazing and if you’re feeling fed up of waiting that was me three days ago. I soon realised I was about to give birth to a 9.7 pound baby (thank god for elective c-section) and my whole world feels complete. I’m so excited for all of you to have this feeling and if anyone is on the fence about elective c-section for supposedly bigger babies then I had a wonderful experience and would be happy to answer any questions! Let me introduce you to Bebe 🥰

Congratulations! I'm having my c section between 19th & 24th, so close and so far!

Congratulations! I am having mine on Thursday!

Congratulations! I have a supposedly big baby! Was your weight estimations correct in the end?

Yes it was a pretty good estimate! I had two scans she measured bigger and one final scan a bit smaller. I actually went into labour the day of my section so it was a hard call to make. They were asking if I wanted to change my mind last minute. Luckily something told me to stick with the plan and I’m glad I did because she had poo’d inside me and was distressed and they said it could have been a long, slow labour with an emergency section. Relief 😅

We have a scan Monday morning as bump measured 43 on Thursday 🙈 currently 38 +1. If baby measures big Monday then c section discussions will be had. When did you decide to have elective for Bebe? Just wondering how late they might leave it if I do have a c section. X

I decided about three weeks ago after a chat with the consultant. They scheduled it two days before her due date and the plan was to give birth naturally if she came before, hence my predicament when I laboured that day 😂 I had 10 days of false labour before that which was sooo frustrating.

Got my second section booked for the 23rd - also measuring a big baby! Surprisingly more nervous this time round even though last time was a lovely experience x

@Ruth I have a elective section booked for my due date. I never got asked why or had it questioned at all but my baby is also measuring on The 95th percentile so that maybe why. They did however give me dates and then changed them last minute.

@Anna I chose that instead of being induced and also have some ptsd surrounding hospitals so they said it was my choice. They are a lot more pro choice these days!

Aww bless you and baby! Praying for your smooth recovery and excited for all the snuggles you’re getting finally ❤️❤️❤️

My nurses talked me out of an elective C-section 😵‍💫 I ended up delivering a 9.8lb baby, 5 months later I’m still dealing with horrific pelvic pain.
