Update on medical termination

I have an update if you’ve been following my termination process. I got my termination at 14 weeks 5 days on 7/31. I was devastated to hear I wouldn’t be able to get ashes for my son since 20 weeks was the requirement. But who told me was wrong! I was shocked to hear it was $800. I never went through a death/funeral/cremation where I was paying or in charge so prices weren’t even in my radar. I was expecting maybe $400-$500. I thank Yahweh that I have a great support system, family and friends that donated to my GoFundMe and within 3 days I raised enough money to bring my baby Cove home with his family! I’m still bleeding, some abdominal discomfort and I’m getting there mentally day by day. I am currently wanting the 3 year IUD (kyleena) so if you have any experience with kyleena please comment as I’ve never had an IUD and very nervous. I have to wait until I test negative to get it inserted and they said that’ll be at least 5 weeks and to test weekly.. it’s so weird knowing my baby is gone but getting positive tests.. Despite what has happened my 2 year old and I have been well. He’s keeping the smile on my face. I have to get up for him everyday. But this is my little update! Should have him home in the next week or so, continuing therapy and just taking it day by day. 🩵

I got Kylee a. I had it before I got pregnant. Honestly had no issues with it , afaik. Didn't stop my cycle, but a few notes. Whenever you first get an IUD , you will get some bleeding. It's normal. If it's heavy reach out to your provider. And yes, it hurts like heck to get an IUD postpartum. I got one put in postpartum and it was rough. Very rough. NGL. You may want a local anaesthetic if you can't tolerate pain well.... Rough. So many hugs to you as you go through this... And may your rainbow come one day 🌈
