i am ever so slowly moving my little one to formula we’re currently on 2 bottles a day but upping to 3 this week. my little one is 6 months in 2 days and i am aware she’ll need the stage 2 in formula we have a few days worth of stage 1 left can i continue to give this to her until the tub is finished? or do i have to move over instantly?

Some people don’t even move onto the stage 2.. so you can jus continue it til you’ve finished the tub

We got told by the midwife at the hospital before discharge that the stages are all a con and that babies are fine on stage 1. I don't know how true it is but I'd just continue to finish the tub you have.

@Samantha same.. with my first 8 years ago they said it was jus money making really as it’s not even necessary to move them stages

You can stay on stage 1 for as long as they have milk

Most people stay on stage 1 until they are a year. We never moved onto stage 2 x

Yes I stayed on stage 1 until my first daughter was 1 and will probably do the same again this time. Even NHS website says just stay on stage 1.

I've heard stage 2 is just marketing. Always stuck to 1 with my first!

this is handy to know! thank you all! it looks as though the stage 2 is the same price as stage 1 so whenever i’ve finished the tub i’ll just get one of those!

Keep her on stage 1 until you're ready to move her onto milk!
