is it too early?

so! I’m 14 weeks pregnant and I’ve been looking at baby stuff because it makes me so happy to see what’s to come but I’m wondering if it’s too early to be this excited about it since I’m a first time mum and all, I haven’t brought anything but just looking at it makes my heart melt and I didn’t know if it was early or not, any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I would 100% do it! I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and went straight to primark and bought a unisex outfit and a cuddly toy! Haha 🩵 I look back at them now and remember that day, it was the best feeling buying the first item for your baby xx

When I found out what I was having is when I went crazy every time I went to a doctors appointment I found myself in Burlington factory looking at baby clothes and didn’t leave out without something..to me it’s not to early especially if your excited. I’m a first time mom and when I was pregnant I stayed buying my baby something whether it was a neutral color or a girly color,it was always something lol

Honestly I’d go a head and start buying things if I were you. It’s never to early when it comes to babies. You can never be too prepared

I’d buy things sooner than later. Especially gender neutral items like crib/bassinet, car seat, etc!

I found out at 4 weeks, I had everything I need, this is first and I went into panic buy mode as originally thought I was further along. 😅 Buy what you want when you want

@Alyssa omg thank you so much I went to primark the other day and was tempted to buy this cute little dinosaur teddy with the little blanket but didn’t because it thought it was too early so may have to go back and see if it’s still there, so glad to know it wasn’t too early to even be looking, still needing to buy the first item for my baby and honestly I’m so excited xxx

@Stephanie I was thinking that since I wanna be more prepared especially since it’s my first and my family have a tendency for having us premature and early but was told it was a bad omen or bad luck and it massively put me off, so thank you for reassuring me:)

@Tyeshaira had my first scan 2 weeks ago now and was given something by one of my aunties and I was so excited since it’s the first gift I’ve received with my pregnancy and now every time I go in town I always have to look at the baby stuff and now I know it’s not too early defo won’t be leaving the store without something, way too tempting at it is 😅 thank you so much! The advice has made me feel not so crazy as a first time mum

@Alina such a good point I never even thought about when I’d be heavily pregnant and not being able to do as much so that’s definitely made me realise how it’s always better getting it early too! I kinda forgot about the belly growing for some reason 😅 (I’m the worst for looking at online stuff, every time I go online i have to be looking at stuff for the baby, it’s just my guilty conscience making me feel bad and it’s too early 😭)

@Leah thank you so much, I honestly feared when I had my first pregnancy scan I was gonna be so further along then I thought and almost went on a shopping spree but way too many people told me it wouldn’t be good and it would be bad luck so I had to hold myself back, may have to start actually buying what I see knowing I’ll need it, especially worrying about being unprepared

There’s never a right time to start tbh! Better to spread out the purchases than to rush and spend a large amount right at the end! I started by getting my free packs from Emma’s diary which you can pick up from boots or Argos! X

Do it! I’m a first time mum at 14 weeks and I have an embarrassing amount of stuff already haha x
