Eczema behind ears
My 17-month-old has had an eczema flare behind her ears for the past week now and can not clear it . We've been using double base since a few months old all over her body, but it doesn't seem to be working behind her ears ... she scratches it that much to the point of making it bleed .. it scabs over, and then she's scratching again . Any advice or recommendations
You need some steroid cream from the doctor, my baby is only 9 months but prescribed hydrocortizone and eumovate cream which is low strength. We use this regularly on bad flare ups like this and it clears it. I was sceptical about using the steroids to start with but, I’ve been advised by 3 different allergy and dermatology specialists that it’s very safe and needs to be used and it’s helped massively. She still gets flare ups regularly but it gets it under control within a few days to stop it getting to this point anymore xx
