Kindergarten meet the teacher

Hi, I have a child who is going to kindergarten this September so everything is new for me and her. I have not received any communication from the school about the schedules, when to meet the teacher, requirements, etc. I'm just not sure how it's done or what to expect. I just want to know so I can plan her transition in advance as I heard first days could be shorter. Any moms who have gone through the kindergarten stage, please advise. Thank you!

Hi there, when my daughter started kindergarten, we went to an orientation/welcome day that occurred a few months before September. They collected my contact information there and was pretty late in sending out additional information regarding schedules and whatnot. If you haven’t received anything by the end of August, I’d recommend emailing or calling the school to follow up. Perhaps they made a mistake in recording your contact info? Most kindergartens in the area have a gradual entry where the days are short for about two weeks

Thanks @Jenn I will definitely try calling this week or next week latest as I have not heard anything ever since we registered, I also thought they would do an orientation before September to meet teachers or even tour the school.
