Baby Blood Type

Because I’m RH Negative, they tested baby’s blood at my 12 weeks scan to check what their blood type is and the results on Badger Notes is “Positive”. Does this mean that they’ve got RH Positive? That’s the most obvious answer but I’m always doubting myself when reading medical notes🤣 Also, I was abroad for my 16weeks appointment and will go this week at 17 weeks. Would that be okay to start the antibodies injections a week later?

The injection would be at 28 weeks, so don't worry!

Indeed. A friend told me she's rhesus negative and she's got to have injections at 28 weeks.

Oh amazing thanks girls for some reason I remember a midwife telling me 16 weeks but I may well misunderstood her. Thanks so much!

My bloods were taken to check baby's blood at 16 weeks so perhaps that's where it came from :)

I’m R-Neg And my babies came back as the same, but they said if it came back positive you get the Anti D at 28 weeks.

I just got told my baby is rhesus positive and I’m negative so injections at 28 weeks. I also had one at 13 weeks due to bleeding, have been told any further bleeding or knocks to the bump I’ll need another shot

Thanks everyone, you’ve all been very helpful! Xxx
