Deciding to have a second child?

Recently it’s come up in a few conversations about having a second child. My daughter is 2 1/2 and I would love for her to have a sibling, but I really struggled adjusting to becoming a mum and I’m scared this’ll happen again and I’m worried about having two children to look after and the stress of having another child. What made you realise you were ready for another child? / or made you realise you didn’t want any more children?

I've always wanted more than one. And if I'm honest I don't think there's ever a perfect time. We now have a 2.5yo and a 5month old. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes it's hard but to be honest I've found the transition from 1 to 2 far easier than becoming a mum. Seeing how much the love eachother definitely makes it all worth it x

I agree with @Hannah and I would like to believe that 2 is easier than one in the sense that they can entertain each other.

I was one and done, or at least thought I was, then when my baby was 18m old I held a friend's newborn and was suddenly the broodiest woman on planet earth! 😂 My 2nd is 4 weeks old and I agree with Hannah that 1-2 has definitely been easier. My husband and I spent the entire pregnancy saying this was our last baby. Within a day of giving birth I was broody again 🙈 so I'm not even sure if we are finished, and if not, I don't know if we ever will feel finished 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you 🙏 I’m glad to hear everyone thinks the transition from 1-2 is easier

I'm glad too! We are going to try for our 2nd next month☺️

Amazing! Wish you the best of luck 🤞

We have a 2.5 month old and an 8.5 month old. They are now starting to interact and play together and I can get jobs done while my older entertains the baby. It is the loveliest relationship ever to witness and we are so glad we had a second. I found number 1 hard and in comparison have found number 2 a breeze!!!! They are complete opposites in every way but I love them both so much. Xx
