I feel awkward too! But I know that even when I’m speaking to someone else it’s getting familiar with my voice so not worrying about it too much x
I just used to narrate my day, like "let's go get in the car" or "shall we go make something to eat?" To start with. If I was ever reading a book or anything online I'd read it out loud as well. I'd sing along to music in the car as well. It feels so strange at first but you get used to it😂 this time around I have my son to talk to as well so this kids probably sick of my voice by now😂
I’ve grown up where my parents would talk me through everything they were doing from a young age g age, I think this is why I was an early talker. I’ve just developed that as part of my general life tbh. So I’ll go about my day chatting to myself, obviously not aloud in public unless I’m talking to someone 😂 but even in the house I’ll talk my cats through getting them fed etc. I talked my daughter through everything, still do and she was an early talker. So I wouldn’t say I specifically speak to baby, I will further on I get when I’m feeling movements etc but in general I just chat aloud when I’m going about my day and I know baby can hear all of that. That was it comes naturally rather than forcing myself to talk to my bump x
I felt a little silly at times talking to my bump/s but I’d say things like “how’re you doing today?” “Your so active in there can you calm down” “I’m so excited to meet you (and I know your dad/brother/brothers are too)” “you’re so loved already” and lots of positive things. Eventually it become less awkward for me and then I’d just randomly say things like what are we feeling for lunch? Do you think you’ll like this outfit? I’m buying you xyz today etc Id also play lots of music, hubby would also talk to tummy/baby, and now my oldest rubs my belly while saying baby lots.
