Coloured evap line?

Hi ladies I just wanted some reassurance on this evap line? I took the test and was negative after 4 minutes, I saw it an hour later and it looks like this. It’s just an evaporation line though isn’t it? I’ve got myself worried as I didn’t think evaporation lines had colour but it’s not possible to get a positive after the 5 minutes is it xx

I don’t believe in these Evap lines unless it looks patchy or something. This looks like a faint positive.

@Aphrodite even after the time scale? I’m worried now xx

I got a coloured evap on a clearblue, thought I missed ovulation and got pregnant- no other test showed a line and then I ovulated 3 days later, it happens x

@India thank you! I just haven’t know an evap line have so much colour so it panicked me haha xx

They're shocking I hate them! Never using clearblue again 😂 we've all been there though ☺️

@Aphrodite these clear blue tests are know for coloured evaps if looked at outside of the testing window. OP, if it was negative in the timeframe then it's negative. Test again tomorrow if you like

The line is also extremely thin if you look carefully so I don’t think it’s a genuine positive, don’t worry!

I've gotten multiple colored evap lines on these blue dye tests that looked very much like positives. If you use these, they basically have to be thrown away immediately because they get blue evap lines at least half the time

Thanks ladies! This was with my first morning wee, I’ve since taken a pink dye which is 100% negative, but wasn’t my first morning wee! But I don’t think I am: I will do a pink dye in the morning with my first wee just to 100% rule it out xx

i think u should take a digital this happen to me i took another and it was negative then ended up finding out i was pregnant

@Daniella mine was the exact same pink dyes were negative digital said oregnant so I second this x

@Charley nah I’ve never experienced one, if you have a dodgy test take it back for ur money back I say

@Aphrodite just because you haven't doesn't mean it doesn't happen...this board is full of dodgy clear blue tests. I see you're pretty new to peanut, but these tests are well known to be bad for evaps

@Charley are you all storing the tests correctly then? Bc I’ve taken tests for a total of 6 months now and never one evap, but mine are stored properly and taken correctly. So if you are all getting dodgy tests often that’s probably a lack of instruction reading sorry but I just don’t buy it. Either that or some of you are having chemicals.

Thanks ladies! I’ve taken a pink dye and it’s negative and I sent a pic to clear blue fb page and they said to disregard it if it’s after 10 minutes but to also test again in 4 days xx

@Aphrodite yes. Even when stored and taken correctly. They're very common for evaps when looked at outside of the timeframe, like in this post. They're not chemicals, as you can test with another brand on the same day and have a negative. Just because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen
