34+1 and waters broke

Hey ladies. My waters went this morning at 34+1 and now I’m being admitted to be monitored. No contractions and cervix is closed. Anyone experienced something similar and managed to keep baby in a little longer? I’m so scared!

I’m in the same position as you now I tested Pprom positive a on the 16th of aug but I was sent home after Afew hours and tests and scan as consultant believed I was maybe passing urine / experiencing discharge I went back to the hospital friday asked to be re checked in which I’m positive again stayed the 24 hours I’m on antibiotics It’s literally a waiting game hoping for as long as possible so nervous

I’m 33 weeks

@Ashariah are you on oral or IV antibiotics and have you been admitted?

Oral I was admitted for 24 hours this weekend gone and sent home wiyh symptoms to look out for having alot of back pain over last 24 hours so going back in to double check things but cervix was also closed and fluid around baby has been normal

Will you be staying until you have baby ?

They’re monitoring me for the next 48 hours and have given me the option to be induced as I’m 34 weeks but I declined and wanted to wait a little. Having mild back pain too and was given oral antibiotics.

Yes I completely understand wanting to wait all the best x

@Ashariah so your waters haven’t gone?

Yes they have but it’s still leaking here and there I’m a little confused

I first tested positive on the 16th and again on 23rd stayed in 24 hours and was sent home with antibiotics since then experiencing back pain so I’m going back today

I had the same experience at 34+5, in hospital 48h then home and monitoring scheduled in hospital twice weekly, exactly one week after, on the way to the hospital for a check up I started feeling contractions and my daughter was born that evening, no NICU time and perfectly healthy, no difference between her and my three sons born at term! Good luck ladies xx

@Ilaria - this is very reassuring Thankyou & congratulations on healthy baby girl x
