Period delay after chemical pregnancy?

Was anyone else’s period delayed after having a chemical pregnancy the month before? I unfortunately had a chemical the end of July and ovulated 16 days later (positive test). My cycles are always 28/29 days and I am now day 35 with no sign my period is on its way. I have tested and negative PT so presume it’s just late, however this is very unusual for me. Anyone been through anything similar? X

Yes I’ve had this too. My first was 42 days (normal is roughly 30) and then the following was 36 days and then recovered by the third month. Normally period should start roughly 14 days after ovulation so you can work out your new due date from there 🩷

Thank you! Did you try to conceive in those following months/ovulate still? I’m hoping even if the cycle dates are a bit off we’ll still be able to try again if I still ovulate x

After the 42 day cycle I started tracking my ovulation with the test sticks just so I wasn’t in the dark for the following months. We have tried to conceive but unfortunately haven’t been successful yet but I had 2 CPs back to back so assuming my body has just taken a little while to recover. One of the things I read that gave me a bit of comfort is that your period is one of the first signs that your body is ready to start trying again so although it’s difficult to not fixate on being in limbo, be kind to yourself. It’s gone/going through a lot and the best thing you can do for yourself is try to not let it stress you out. Sorry you are having to go through this, here to chat if you want to🩷

Thank you so much lovely! I really hope you get there soon too! Just seen on your profile you’re 33 with a two year old. Me too, sounds like we are in a very similar situ ❤️
