@Heather thank you so much for the comment! I haven’t long gave her the first dose of antibiotics but she’s taking a nap. How long was your daughter in hospital for? Xx
She was seen by the GP at 8.30am and blue lighted to hospital as her heart rate was sky-high, she was laying on my arms yet her heart was pounding like she was running a marathon! She had the red pinprick rash all over too so they diagnosed SF and gave her a dose of antibiotics at 11am and again at 3pm and she was back to normal and sent home by 7pm! So despite how ill it made her she responded to treatment within hours. She was one of 14 kids at her day nursery to catch it
@Heather how old was she at the time? That must’ve been really heartbreaking and scary for you xx
It was her 2nd birthday poor thing The hospital staff gave her a birthday card
@Heather awhhh bless her how long did it take for her to fully recover xx
She was back to normal fully the next day, and could go out and about after 48 hours of antibiotics
@Heather thank you so much xx
Hope she's feeling better soon x
My now 11 year old has had scarlet fever as a toddler Once the antibiotics kick in, she will be back to normal as it responds really quick to them. My daughter was really poorly with it too, she was in hospital as her heart rate was 3 times faster than it should have been
